Gacalkayga-Runtaa Haysta Qalbigayga
Maansoole: Sir Philip Sidney (1554 – 1586)
Dal: Ingiriiska
Turjumay: Samatar Maxamad Siciid
Gacalkayga-runtaa haysta qalbigayga, anina kiisa,
Ee qur iswaydaarsi midba midka kale lays siiyay:
Gacalnimaan kiisa u hayaa, kaygana muu gafi karo;
Ma jirin gorgortamid waligeedaba ka fiican.
Qalbigiisa i dhaxyaalaa iskula haya aniga iyo asaga hal,
Qalbigayga asaga dhaxyaalaa malehiisa iyo dareenkiisa haga;
Wuu jacelyahay qalbigayga oo kiisuu ahaan jiray mar uun;
Kashaan ku hayaa kiisa waayo kayguu ka dalbadaa.
Qalbigiisa dhaawaciisuu ka qaabilay araggayga;
Qalbigaygaa lagu dhaawacay qalbigiisa dhaawacan;
Oo uu xaggayga ka soo gaaray wuu shidmay dhaawaciisa,
Waatuu wali, malehayga, igaga holacyeelay:
Labadaba dhaawac isle’eg, baddalkanaanu ka raadinay arwaaxeena,
Gacalkayga-runtaa haysta qalbigayga, anina kiisa.
My True-Love Hath My Heart
My true-love hath my heart, and I have his,
By just exchange one for the other given:
I hold his dear, and mine he cannot miss;
There never was a bargain better driven.
His heart in me keeps me and him in one,
My heart in him his thoughts and senses guides;
He loves my heart for once it was his own;
I cherish his because in me it bides.
His heart his wound receivèd from my sight;
My heart was wounded with his wounded heart;
For as from me on him his hurt did light,
So still, me thought, in me his hurt did smart:
Both equal hurt, in this change sought our bliss,
My true love hath my heart and I have his.

Falaarta
Maansoole: José Emilio Pacheco
Dal: Meksiko
Turjumay: Samatar Maxamad Siciid
Ma aha muhiim in falaartu gaarto toogada
Saasba uga fiican
Qabsasho ugaarna
Dhaawacid qofna
Ee muhiimku
waa duulidda - majaraha - baritaarka
masaafada hawo lagu dhaxjeexay qaadashadeeda
mugdiga banaaneeya ee ka muditaankeeda
iyadoo gargariirto
baaxadda ee meelna
La flecha
No importa que la flecha no alcance el blanco
Mejor así
No capturar ninguna presa
No hacerle daño a nadie
pues lo importante
es el vuelo - la trayectoria - el impulso
el tramo de aire recorrido en su ascenso
la oscuridad que desaloja al clavarse
vibrante
en la extensión de la nada

Sonnet 43
Maansoole: William Shakespear (1564 – 1616)
Dal: Ingiriiska
Turjumay: Samatar Maxamad Siciid
Kolkaan aadba u damuuqsado deedto uun bay dhaayahayga si fiican u arkaan,
Oo maalintii dhan bay wax kula eegaan dayacnaan,
Kolkaanse seexdo, riyada bay kaa dhax arkaan,
Gudcur-ahaanna bidhaaman, bay bidhaan hagan kula yahiin mugdiga.
Deedto adoo harkaaga har uga yeela bidhaan,
Sidee harkaagu qaabkiisa, qaab faraxsan kula tusaa,
Iftiinkaaga aadka u cad, maalintii oo cad,
Kolkuu hooskaaga iftiimo arkaan dhaayo aragla’?
Sidee dhaayahayga barako u lehaan karaan,baan iraahdaa,
Ayagoo ku eega maalintii oo nool,
Kolka habeenkii oo mootan hooskaaga qurxoon qaabka la’,
Hurdo moolsan dhaxdeeda ku arkaan dhaayo aragla’?
Maalmahoo dhan waa habeeno la arki doono ilaa aan ku arko,
Habeenadana waa maalmo ifsan kolka riyada i kaa tusto.
When most I wink then do mine eyes best see,
For all the day they view things unrespected,
But when I sleep, in dreams they look on thee,
And darkly bright, are bright in dark directed.
Then thou whose shadow shadow doth make bright,
How would thy shadow's form, form happy show,
To the clear day with thy much cleared light,
When to unseeing eyes thy shade shines so?
How would (I say) mine eyes be blessed made,
By looking on thee in the living day,
When in dead night thy fair imperfect shade,
Through heavy sleep on sightless eyes doth stay?
All days are nights to see till I see thee,
And nights bright days when dreams do show thee me.
